In year 9 I remember a boy was sitting next to me in class and he was watching porn on his phone. He showed it to me and laughed but it made me feel really uncomfortable and I moved away from him. No-one said anything about it because it was just an everyday thing but I found it weird. Me and my friends would talk about boys we liked but there was always a worry that we would be expected to do things they’d seen in porn if they were more experienced than us. It’s literally everywhere and so normalised and the expectation was for us to just be happy being treated like an object.
